Mahogany, Inc. is a locally-owned business known for the way that it gives back to the community. However, this time, we took things a step further. Mahogany, Inc. supported Hope Missions by providing 100 backpacks to our brothers and sisters in Africa. We are so grateful that our platform allows us to not only serve our local communities but internationally as well. What is Hope Missions?
Hope Missions uses ministry and construction projects as a way to bring hope back to the hopeless. They’ve been leading teams on short-term international trips for over ten years! Each trip involves a pre-packaged and affordable mission experience. If you are looking for a local, national, or global mission opportunity, then Hope Missions can assist you with every detail. Taking on missions work means that you have to be knowledgeable and have the proper resources. If not, then you can count on Hope Missions. Here are some of the international areas that they plan on covering in 2020:

Mahogany, Inc. is Planning Their 3rd Annual Back to School Drive.
Last year, we hosted our 2nd Annual Back to School Drive. We had hopes of giving out 100 backpacks filled with school supplies, but thanks to our donors, we surpassed that goal! We were able to provide 175 students with book bags as well as 50 pencil cases filled with supplies to the students that could not get book bags. Students also received free admission tickets to the B&O Railroad. To learn more about the success of this community effort, click here. Why Does Philanthropy Matter?
Philanthropy is so significant because it provides opportunities. As Hope Missions talks about, giving hope to the hopeless is one of the best things that you can do in life. Trying to fix all of the problems in society is an overwhelming task, but you can always start with the education system. Knowledge is power, and providing supplies to foster a child’s education is powerful. We’re more than a general contracting company. We believe in bettering our local community and the world, one donation, and one event at a time.
