This holiday season, Mahogany Inc. is giving back to the Baltimore community in two ways: by aiding homeless youth and cleaning up the southwestern portion of our city. Please read on to find out more about these efforts, and how you can be involved, too!
A Holiday Toy Drive for Homeless Youth
Did you know that on any given day in Baltimore, more than 600 young people are homeless? This year, let’s pull together to support the Youth Empowered Society—a safe space for youth who are homeless and between the ages of 14-25. With this organization, they are able to get their basic needs met, such as receiving hygienic products, food, and clothes. No donation is too big or too small! To make a donation, you can click here. To drop off any proceeds, you can go to Mahogany Inc. (910 West Pratt Street) on December 14th at 12:00. Let’s make this Holiday Season a one to remember for our youth and their children!
Cleaning Up Southwest Baltimore
Mahogany Inc. is doing a community recycling/trash day from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on next Tuesday, December 15th. Find the flyer above! We are super excited to partner with Wheelabrator and Williams and Hunter for such a needed event.
Covid-19 has had countless devastating effects on each of our lives, families, economy, and environment. If you’re a Baltimore City resident please bring your bulk trash and recycling to safely and efficiently discard of these items next Tuesday, December 15th from 9–1 pm. We will also have a clean-up crew cleaning up our Southwest/Hollins Market/Poppleton/Pigtown neighborhoods. This event is not solely for SW Baltimore, but for any City resident or local business.
